Hello...I'm Rachel.

I am just a simple girl from Michigan who's heart will never leave it.
I yearn to live in a big city.

I live for all things fashion and am straight up addicted to shopping.
I am an auto show model for Lincoln automotive, stop by and say hi at your local show.

I have two cats and that crazy pit-bull you will always see in my photos.
Shoes, chocolate, lattes and my dog make me melt inside... 

I'm an alumna of Delta Zeta Sorority and Eastern Michigan University.

I have a bachelors degree in Communications and Theatre Arts.

I am an avid sports lover, obsessed with country music and theatre frequenter.

I love to travel...which is why I love my job:)

Paris and Prague are my favorite cities I have visited this far.

My style inspirations come from Audry Hepburn, Jackie O, 

Jenna Lyons, my J Crew catalogs and my mother...

Why the blog?

My blog is called "the classy turtle" because I adore turtles ♥

I started this blog in October 2010 as a way to express my inspirations, showcase my talents 

and a way to connect with others who love fashion as much as I do.
Then in 2011 it turned into a way for me to express my feelings through my fight with cancer. 
But now I blog about everything from my outfits, fashion, my crazy life and career, things I currently love, my travels around the world and inspiration to appreciate this life!
