what I wore to a bachelorette party: neon & black

IMG_6727
oh hey girl hey!
I can’t rant and rave enough about what a great time I had with all my friends at my girlfriends bachelorette party. We went to this amazing lounge I’d never been to and it was so good to catch up with my high school girlfriends, reminisce about crazy high school times, joke around and celebrate the pure fact that our friend is getting married. So crazy…it seems like just yesterday we were all awkward and dorky middle schoolers wishing the football players would notice us. Time goes too fast.
But down to the outfit…what you guys really want to talk about. This skirt officially has been my favorite purchase of the summer, I thought it was this blue one or these shorts but I was wrong. This neon skirt takes the top of the summer purchases cake. It’s bright yellow/green neon, is super comfy, matches almost everything and it was $8…yes $8 dollars! Thank you Forever 21 for always having my back. I know there are a lot of other bloggers/people out there that spend more money on higher priced clothing and look down on Forever 21 and H&M but ya know what…I don’t care. I LOVE Forever 21 and I will happily admit it! And speaking of H&M doesn’t this tank just rock socks?! I happen to think so!

my big news!!

photo 3

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. So it occurred to me the other day that normally I share almost everything with all of you yet I left out some big…no HUGE news about my life! It happened when I was about to share this quote that appeared on twitter not long after the big news took place and then I realized I never told y’all about it. So are you ready for it or what?

After a very long audition process, tons of memorization and prepping, nervousness and sleepless nights, I am so happy to share with all of you that I was hired by Lincoln as one of their auto show models! I really can’t explain how absolutely ecstatic I am about it. It really is something that I have wanted and worked towards for a very long time and after the not so great year I have had, it feels good that something positive is happening in my life. I truly can’t thank God enough.

So what does this mean? I will be traveling…hopefully all around the country with the auto shows, standing next to a car and telling people about it. Training starts in September and I am literally counting down the days! So I will be traveling a good amount but no worries this blog will remain. There might not be as many outfit posts but I will definitely still be blogging throughout my travels. The Classy Turtle takes the USA :)

I just love this quote and all it means to me. So many people sit around, wanting and wishing for something in their lives. I have been there. But then you have to realize that you can’t wait, you have to hit the ground running with all you have inside of you. This is just a stepping stone for me and what is to come but you better believe that I will never stop chasing all my dreams <3

::red nautical stripes::

IMG_6713

Hey hey hey! This week is going by super slow for me. I have a bachelorette party this weekend and it will be good to catch up with my girlfriends from high school.

I am seriously loving these red striped shorts from J Crew, if you watch my YouTube videos you would have seen them in my last haul video and I am finally wearing them. At first I was thinking of wearing them with a different color like yellow or orange but I couldn’t pass up how great I thought they looked with a shade of red!

Tennessee Family Vacation

IMG_2000

Hey there! So I had such a great week in Tennessee with the fam. We drove down to Byrdstown, TN to a cabin on Dale Hollow Lake. Let me tell you y’all…it was in one word-rural. The nearest grocery store was about an hour away and we were in the middle of the mountains. I actually enjoyed being out of touch with reality and population but my sisters…oh lord…hold the phone…it was the end of the world. The first night there they ran around like monkeys trying to get cell service. “what we don’t have internet?” “how will I get on facebook?” “you mean I can’t tweet?” “how will I watch pretty little liars?” I just sat back, beer in hand and almost died laughing. Five days in a cabin, boating was enough for all of us so we went out to Nashville, which was such a blast! Boots, cowboys and country music…this girl was in heaven!

I didn’t bring my my DSLR just a regular old digital so excuse the picture quality.
