I can’t even explain how overwhelmed and stressed I am about the move. I seriously don’t understand how people do this. Three years of living in a two bedroom apartment and I have so much stuff. There are things are everywhere and boxes are now piled high. And I want to scream.
Times like this when I am tired and exhausted and overwhelmed I need to just wear some casual clothes and be comfortable.

Have I said that I love the color blocking trend? I love the color blocking trend! It seems extreme but doesn’t it just look amazing?! I needed some bright colors to brighten my day and what better than bright yellow. And how about the bright green purse? Proud to say that it was my grandmothers :)

Do you ever see something in a magazine and you absolutely just HAVE to HAVE it. That is what happened when I saw this Paris print dress by Bernie Dexter in Glamour last month. And my amazing mother was the sweetest and ordered it for me :) The print is so cute and it just makes me want to frolic back to Paris and live there forever.

Since I have been getting tons of questions as to how I did my hair, I thought I would break it down how I did it. I don’t recommend ever bleaching your hair at home because it can be VERY damaging. I also don’t claim to be a hair stylist or a professional, this is just how I did my hair at home. I never recommend bleaching out the ends of your hair at home so you can get the tips bleached out by a pro, then play with the colors on your own. The thing about color tips-you can hide it in a bun for work or since it’s only a few inches you can cut it off if you get over it quickly.
TOOLS (I bought everything at Sally Beauty Supply): comb, clips, foils, color brush, hair bleach and developer (I used Ion Color Brilliance Powder lightener mixed with 30vol developer), colored dye (I used Beyond the Zone), deep conditioner
Step 1 Clip the top half of hair up leaving the bottom half loose. Then highlight the tips of hair using the bleach and developer in foil. Make sure to feather on the bleach with brush so it blends better.
Step 2 Fold up your foil and let it process until it reaches a pale blonde. Use appropriate heat if necessary.
Step 3 Shampoo and lightly condition bleach out of the hair.
Step 4 (I did not blow dry my hair but you can if you wish)Let hair air dry overnight.
Step 5 Next day with hair dry (hair must be dry for color to take)
Step 6 Place the hair on a foil (divide into small sections for better management)
Step 7 Starting a bit above the blonde part of hair, paint on dark purple color (or whatever color you choose) I blended in with gloved fingers to ensure coverage.
Step 8 Paint the very tips (or bottom 1/2) with pink color. Be sure to blend.
Step 9 Fold foil over and let color sit for about 30 minutes. (the longer it sits, the more vibrant the color)
Step 10 Rinse out the color until water runs clear and put in a deep conditioner. Sleep with deep conditioner overnight. (hair needs moisture and nutrients after bleaching)
Have fun with it! You don’t have to use two colors, you could just use one if wanted (it would actually be easier) I would love to see you photos if you try!

The urge got too overwhelming and there I went with bleach and colors :) I will try to post a how-to this week I have just been so overwhelmed and busy with moving. My apartment looks like a storage facility and there are times I get too overwhelmed to pack. But I will get through it all this week and be cozy in my parents basement.
