It was such a busy weekend for me. I have been packing up stuff which is such an overwhelming task since almost everything will be going to storage. We started making the closet come to life which is so exciting. It seems like we got so much done but it doesn’t look like it at all!

Thank God for instagram so I can remember the silly little things in life to make me smile :)

aztec sweater

Can someone tell me why I look like an oompa lumpa in this photo? My skin looks orange and in real life it isn’t that way. In fact because it’s the dead gray of winter I’m actually quite pale. What is going on up there?!?!

Winter seems to be dragging on here in Michigan…I just want some Spring weather and then all will be alright. At least the sun is shining but tomorrow the weather man says snow is on the way :(

what I wore to a basketball game

Happy Monday! I was so excited to go to the Pistons game Friday night, we have season tickets but I hardly ever get a chance to go. But thankfully Friday night I got the chance and had such a wonderful time <3 Dressing for a sporting event isn’t always easy because you want to look cute but still support your team. Jerseys and oversized t-shirts aren't easy to do that with. But a fitted t and blazer is the perfect option I think!

in need of some fun

Truth is yesterday was a kind of poopy day.

As soon as I got to work it dawned on me that I forgot my camera at home. What blogger does that. Well crap, there went a good outfit.

Then I was super excited because my Ulta club rewards came in the mail so I raced off to Ulta after work to claim my free items. As I scooped up a curling iron and other things I have been desperately wanting, I get to the cash register only for the sales girl to tell me I can’t use my reward certificate until Sunday. Crap. So I leave Ulta empty handed and head off to my hair appointment.

I usually love days when I get my hair done, catching up with my hairdresser, Luis, who has been doing my hair for years is a favorite. And as I talked about yesterday I have been itching to put some color in my hair. But that didn’t go as I wanted. Luis reminded me of a casting I have on Saturday and an interview with a new agency next week and it all came into retrospect that I probably shouldn’t show up with purple and pink hair to these things. Stupid I know but oh well.

So then he suggested I bleach my extensions that I no longer use now that my hair is long and dye them pink and purple so I have a temporary fix. So I left the salon with just a boring old trim and feeling the same as usual but set off to Sally Beauty Supply for bleach.

Simple enough I used to bleach my hair all the time as a kid.

Wrong. My 100% human hair Euronext hair extensions DON’T bleach. (Disclaimer! Hair extensions are not as great as people think even when you spend a fortune on them) Oh I let it sit for hours last night…there are no changing those bad boys away from black. Crap. There went that idea.

Then I realized that instead of playing with hair I probably should have been starting to pack up my apartment like I promised myself I would start doing. Then I proceeded to get very, very, very overwhelmed when I realized I have less than a month to pack up my two bedroom apartment that I have lived in for three years! It’s packed to the brim people!

So I am stressed and whining and I apologize for venting on here. I just really can’t help but feel like I am in need of some fun. A good night with girlfriends or a hilariously funny movie. Thankfully I am going to the Pistons game tonight. So hopefully I can relax and unwind before I get to my super busy weekend full of responsibilities.

colored tips

So I have a confession…

I desperately with every inch of my soul want to dye the tips of my hair. Accomplishing this would be way easier if I had blonde hair but obviously I don’t. I also have highlights and I feel like colored tips or ombre hair look better when the hair is a solid color. I go in for a hair appointment later today and chances are I will come out with my hair the same…but maybe, just maybe it will have color in it!

Happy hump day! Thought I would pop in with a whole lot of color to brighten your week!

I know I know…I should have posted this outfit yesterday but it’s what I wore yesterday so you’re getting it today. It was cold, snowy and very drab here on the good ol’ love day so I needed a whole bunch of color to brighten it all up. Color blocking is the perfect way to do this. Pink and red just go great together!

Happy Valentines Day! Sorry I am not color themed appropriate for the day. I have been busy trying to get back into the swing of things since my surgery.
