Awkward:
-As much as I love working out and going to the gym…I hate it all at the same time. I swear almost everyone there doesn’t have a CLUE to what they are doing. I don’t go to a gym to socialize, meet meat heads, look at meat heads, talk, etc. etc. I like to do my workout and get out! But that’s impossible when you have a bunch of weirdoes hanging around on the machines checking people out. I just want to scream hello please move but then that would be weird.
-The fact that I have absolutely NO feeling in the pinky finger that was collateral damage of my dogs fighting. I seriously can poke and prod it with sharp objects and not feel anything.
-Secretly wishing I could be on the show ‘Big Rich Texas’, something about those women just draws me in. I know, bless my heart.
-This past weekend my stepmother and I went to the mall with my littlest sister (she’s 3), my stepmother went up to the checkout of a store while I waited with my little sister near the entrance. At least a handful of people walked by and said to me “aw she is so cute!” I reply out of courtesy with “Thank you.” umm hello do I look like I should/could/would/have a three year old?!?!
Awesome:
-My best friend and I are running Warrior Dash on Sunday…whoo so excited! (yes I think I might be slightly psychotic)
-My amazing neck armor shown above in photos. new favorite necklace
-While spending time with said sister above, I asked her how old she was. Her response was “O-M-G! {insert eye roll here} I’m 3!” and when she picked out a tutu for her birthday present I asked her what color it was and her response was “PINK…mine and yours favorite color…DUH! {insert eye roll here}” ah I couldn’t help but smile :)
-How excited and ecstatic I am to be going to the Britney Spears/Nicky Minaj concert tonight!!! Front row!! whoot whoot!
I thought I would share all the great things my mother and I found at our favorite vintage store, The Getup Vintage :)
Sometimes all a girl needs is a simple photo to give you a world of inspiration!
Isn’t this just the most amazing outfit? I am having a hard time finding the original source of the photo, it links back to this blog but author isn’t specific on where she got it. If anyone knows…let me know!
Record highs of heat have hit the midwest, it was 102 yesterday! Let me tell you…I am NOT complaining at all! (Yes I must be crazy) All I need is nice juicy watermelon and simple cotton maxi dresses like this and I am all set :)

So I desperately need your help picking a dress from the above choices, you guys see me everyday (well online not in real) and know what looks good and what doesn’t. So please tell me what dress you guys would think is best? I am completely stuck! I have been a busy busy bee lately and I am slowly getting full use of my hand back.
Here are some things making me smile to help me through…
{a beautiful vintage bowl for my kitchen table}
{gorgeous flowers to make me smile from someone special ;)
{my kitty kat klock that my mom just bought me to match the rest of my turquoise living room}
{Pauline Nordin’s Butt Bible 6 week workout that is kicking my butt after one day}
Hope you all are having a great week!
I don’t know how this company does it…but they find a way to speak to me. To speak right down to a little tiny place inside my heart that flutters when I see their catalog. And that flutter my friends…is what makes me happy :)

Sometimes I wish I lived in another era…in another time in the world. Things seemed more simple back then, a bit easier with not so much to worry about. I just would love to experience life back then. When men had chivalry and loved to woo a girl. And a girl could dress up everyday just because, and wear a really fancy gown to a ball or dinner and dancing. Transport me back to about 1923 or 1942 and I would be a really happy gal :)
I have this wall in my office/spare bedroom that is covered from ceiling to floor in old black and white framed family photos. One day when I feel the space is completely done I will have to show you all. The photos to me are one of the most valuable things I own. Some go all the way back to the 1800s and ones of my parents as children, a whole family tree of eras and decades. Everyone looks so happy and beautiful that I can’t help but want to just jump into one of the photos.
The wall might be the reason I changed these photos to almost black and white…. or it could be the hat that looks like it should be vintage…
