its time to REVOLT with Beth Shak

Every one of us knows a little girl, one that is innocent and precious. However here in the United States, that innocence can be taken from a girl in the blink of an eye. Commercial sexual exploitation of children is one of the fastest growing human trafficking crimes in the world and is happening right here on our country. The traffickers target children due to their vulnerability and gullibility as well as the demand for young victims.
The children at risk are not just high school students—
studies demonstrate that pimps prey on victims as young as 12.

Most of you are probably thinking “not in my neighborhood” but you are wrong. Every year more than 50,000 women and children become victims of trafficking each year according to the Department of Justice. Just 200,000 children in the U.S. alone are at risk every year for commercial sexual exploitation.

The numbers are astounding; it is time to revolt for the victims of commercial sex trade.
Thousands need to be rescued and thousands need a place to call home.

I attended a Valentines Day Gala in Orlando for my company, it was quite beautiful. I thought I would share some photos because I LOVED my La Femme gown.

olive you

Sorry for the weird photos, I was in a silly mood when these were taken the first night I was in Florida. I just got these olive knit pants from J Crew recently and they are already my new favorite. They are so comfortable, will go with everything and just look cute! Leave it to J Crew to create another piece of clothing that I absolutely love. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

FABB-Lucky Blog Conference

New York has been amazing...lol but that's not something you need me to say to know its true. I wanted to update on how the blog conference was!

I had the absolute best time at FABB (fashion and beauty blog conference) cute name right?
It was really a great experience and I couldn't thank Lucky magazine enough for the opportunity.
There were some incredible speakers like Tory Burch, Jenna Lyons & JOAN RIVERS!!
At times like that it almost didn't seem real to this small town Michigan girl.
They had suites set up with Lands End, Converse and Revlon that made the day just oh so fun.
While the content of the panels had the potential to be good...at times I couldn't help but feel lost and overwhelmed. You feel like such a small minnow in the biggest ocean when it comes to blogging and I was hoping the content would have been more 'minnow' friendly....but nonetheless I still had such an amazing time.

awesome shoes :)
